Announcement by Crown Heights United:
Dear residents of Crown Heights,
On Tuesday, June 28th, 2022, there will be an election for Assemblymember, Governor, and District Leaders.
We are facing tremendous challenges regarding Yeshiva education in the months ahead and it is critically important that the community comes out and votes.
Crown Heights generated over twenty thousand signatures in support of Yeshiva education.
We need to make our voices heard at the polls as well.
Crown Heights United has endorsed:
Brian Cunningham for Assembly
Sarana Purcell for District Leader
Edu Hermelyn for District Leader
Assemblymember Brian Cunningham has expressed strong support for yeshivas and stands behind the community on these issues.
For those in the outskirts of Crown Heights, and in the 57th Assembly and the 56th Assembly Districts, Crown Heights United endorses:
Olanike Alabi for Assemblywoman in the 57th
Stephanie Zinerman for the Assemblywoman in the 56th
These endorsements were made in consultation with local Askonim and Mosdos.
Crown Heights United always attempts to represent the united view of the community.
We encourage everyone to please come out and vote to help ensure that our community remains relevant.

Vote Republican people !! Only hope
In the general election, definitely. This is a primary election, though, and if you’re registered Democrat, you can vote only in the Democrat primary. In which case vote for the least worst of them, for example Suozzi (not Hochul) for governor.
On Tuesday it’s the primaries, not the general election. In New York, the Democratic primaries often determine the general election result so it is important that you vote in the primaries as well, especially if you are a registered Democrat.
Women are under attack in this country, we must stand up and fight for our rights and our freedom!! Vote pro choice, vote liberal and progressive!! Don’t just preach Torah values, practice them and vote for democrats!
Women aren’t “under attack,” they just don’t have the absolute right to terminate a (potential) life. What a crabbed and narrow definition of “rights” that is!
And as for Torah values – they ban abortion completely for non-Jews (beyond what any state legislature has proposed), and even for Jews it’s only in certain rare cases.
In New York, there have been no legislation changes or proposed changes regarding women’s rights, so I’m not sure what attack you’re referring to.
Getting as many progressives into every level of government is necessary in order for women to maintain equal rights.
Just because NY women are safe (for now), does not mean that I will not fight with everything I have to defend women all over this country.
Protect all birthing people in this country. Stand beside our mothers and our sisters and our daughters and protect their lives with your vote.
What about the yet to be born granddaughter’s? Do they not count?
Why not support prevention or adoption instead of murder?
There is no way I’m allowing my daughter to be raised in a country with less rights than a man
How so? A man can’t kill at will, and neither can a woman. Sounds like equal rights to me.
If you can’t understand the basic right of bodily autonomy that is now being denied to half of the American population, then you’re a lost cause.
Have all the candidates that were endorsed by the CH PAC unequivocally promised to keep their grubby hands off the NY parochial school systems? ( As if the NY public school system needs no correction!) If yes, great! I’ll make it my business to vote. Otherwise, these days, I would not bother voting in this or any other Democrat primary in NY ( even though I’m registered as a Democrat.) The whole bunch of them are either themselves super progressive, or CAVE IN TO PROGRESSIVES (read: try to assure themselves re-election,) on grounds that they must “represent” their “constituents.” That’s… Read more »
You attack women and we fight back like never before
We’re you for COVID vaccine mandates?
Reality check: women are not being attacked. Just their babies are being protected. Abortion is murder not birth control.
Your lack of education, empathy, and kindness is devastating. May Hashem give you clarity and an open heart that is able to respect women and our choices and our rights.
become a registered republican. why don’t they even publish a sample republican ballot.
I’m a registered Republican where do I vote?
The info I got form the NYC Voting is to vote on East New York and Troy, but something tells me this sight is for Democrat’s only, any help here?
Please note The word Democrat, as you use it, should be capitalized; it is the name of a left wing party that is decidedly NOT democratic. To the contrary, it has become a party that has, for the most part, ceased conducting politics objectively and democratically. As far as the comment about Democrats following Torah law in regard to women’s “rights,” you sound like one of those self-proclaimed “Rabbits” that bestows upon herself the right to interpret Torah law as she sees fit. In case you aren’t aware of it, Ma’am, as far as the frum community is concerned, that… Read more »
You think democrats convolute the law when it was republicans who stormed the capitol on january 6th and literally attempted to overthrow our democracy and everything that america stands for?
If there’s a party that has no regard for what is legal, then it is without a doubt every single conservative who voted for and continues to support trump and his fellow terrorists.
My Jewish law comes from Rabbis who preach love, kindness, equality and justice. If a Rabbi preaches hate and misogyny, then that is not Torah, it’s a disgusting warped version of Judaism.
The Jan. 6 protesters weren’t even armed. How exactly do you think they were planning to “overthrow” anything?
And as far as “hate and misogyny,” you might try looking at some of the things leftists have been saying and writing about Justices Thomas and Barrett. See, their “love, kindness, equality and justice” seems to be limited only to those who agree with them.
Clearly you haven’t been keeping track of the Jan. 6th hearings. Do you stay up to date on the news and the legality of that horrific day, or do you just blindly follow whatever the orange clown says?
Once you’ve informed and educated yourself, then maybe you’ll see the light.
It’s amazing to see how uninformed and disinformed so many people on collive are commenting. Voting democrat because the supreme court just gave back the right to each state to decide on abortion ensuring 100% democracy? You people are so disinformed it’s scary how easily you’re seayed by these “progressives” who dont give a hoot about you.
