Beginning the auspicious milestone of 120 years since the Rebbe’s birth, Levi Feldman at Merkos – 302 – Special Projects was determined to bring the Rebbe’s Pesach message to Jews across the world looking for a meaningful celebration.
As Yud Aleph Nissan approached, the dedicated team at Merkos 302 sat down to brainstorm ideas for broadcasting the Rebbe’s words to the widest possible audience. Fly Free, a one-of-a-kind event combining talk, song, and inspiration, was born.
Already premiered by hundreds of Chabad Houses around the world, with many more events scheduled over the remaining days before Pesach, this production has impacted thousands. The Rebbe’s message of finding personal freedom has many Jews the world over-prepared for a liberating seder experience.
“The success of this project, a reflection of all the work put in, speaks for itself,” says Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, executive director of Merkos 302. “The thousands inspired by Fly Free is certainly a great gift to the Rebbe on his birthday.”
Feedback has been pouring in from viewers of the program in various Chabad Houses and Shluchim who screened it. “This has been an incredible eye-opener for me, and I’m excited to implement the ideas I learned at my Seder,” said one participant from Waterbury, CT. A Shliach wrote: “This was the best way for me to bring the Rebbe’s message to my community in an entertaining manner. Thank you for this great program.”
Editors Chesky Vogel, Berel Groner and Tzemach Weg dedicated themselves to the project, and the final product tells of their success.
