So close to the finish line: Help us reach it, with LOVE
MJDS needs your LOVE to reach our $100,000 goal!
Maimonides Jewish Day School is called MJDS for short. Another acronym for our school could be LOVE. At least that’s what folks say — and feel — about our school.
Kim Rosenberg enrolled her three children in MJDS and says this: “We were looking forward to the opportunity for our kids to feel that they could accomplish and feel confident about themselves,” including feeling part of a Jewish community, fitting in, and learning critical-thinking skills. “But most of all,” she continues, “we were looking for a place where they felt a love of Judaism and where they felt loved.”
Rabbi Rodman, a member of the accreditation board and long-time observer of our growing school, says he could feel the love. He describes “the love you feel from the minute you step on to the property.” He adds, “But that’s not enough. There’s real learning going on at this school. These students are totally up-to-date and current with their secular studies.”
In other words, MJDS has it all. Our students demonstrate their critical-thinking skills; our teachers every day show their love for every learner; and our parents see the results of the expansive curriculum in their children, at home.
Rosenberg’s children now are adults. She reflects, “We so appreciate, most of all, the love that they got when they walked in the door, because that level of love builds confidence with every child.” She adds, “And I know my children got it.”
Maimonides Jewish Day School is on the cusp of receiving full accreditation, the first in the Pacific Northwest to receive dual Judaic and General Studies accreditation. Share in our pride, share in our growth, share in our LOVE. It’s easy! Like challah dough, you can help us rise.
