Over a hundred men, women and children were deeply inspired at a farbrengen with Port Washington Shliach Rabbi Sholom Moshe Paltiel at Chabad of Kingsborough, Brooklyn, led by Shliach Rabbi Efraim Zaltzman.
The Farbrengen took place in the Young Israel of Brighton Beach, where Rabbi Zaltzman serves as Rabbi since 1998.
The theme of the farbrengen was “The Rebbe, the faithful Shepherd of the Jewish people – what does the Rebbe mean to me?”
Guest speaker Rabbi Sholom Moshe Paltiel, Director, Chabad of Port Washington and Rabbi Zaltzman moved the crowd with their heartfelt words, singing and stories.
Many people stayed on for over 3 hours. “People just loved it and weren’t leaving, despite it being in middle of the work week,” Rabbi Zaltzman said.
Rabbi Chony Zucker inspired the crowd with nigunim played on his keyboard, and the people enjoyed a delicious dinner in honor of the event.
A fellow told Rabbi Zaltzman he was so inspired that he drove to the Ohel with his wife after the farbrengen. “We came home at 2 am, Rabbi,” he related later.
“There was a young man that I didn’t see for some 7 years. But he felt, it’s the Rebbe’s 30th Yahrtzeit, he must come to the Farbrengen,” related Rabbi Zaltzman.
The event was sponsored by Chabad of Kingsborough and the Tabulov family.

To have 100 people at this event is amazing. The Brighton Beach neighborhood is truly blessed by having Rabbi and Rebbetzin Zaltsman.
They work tirelessly for every neshama.
May they continue doing their holy work with great hatzlacha.
