Great photos.
Crown Heights Shliach…
Unfortunately, the parade brings more crime to CH. The police helicopter has been near for more than an hour, shooting, stabbing, and large groups fighting the Citizen app updates for the past few hours.
Drunk people were sitting on the steps of Chovevei Torah, so disrespectful to the shul and then were fighting and stabbing. Who needs it here???
PLEASE MOVE IT OUT OF CROWN HEIGHTS!!!
Move it next to the mayor house! Let him sit all day locked inside scary for his kids safety!
Move it to Harlem or the Bronx our kids can’t go to school and the streets are crime ridden from the parade.
All the people destroying this state in one room
Instead of getting together, plan a way to move it out of the neighborhood. It’s not fair, lets boro park and Flatbush have a turn.
Instead of shoving the problem to someone else, as crown heightsers usually do, for once in your life – fix it!

Was any of the developments of homeless shelters canceled ?
Have we learned anything?/?????
Probably why they didn’t notice 770 wasn’t protected.
Also only 4 shootings this year, not too bad
We can deduct two more conclusions from the dereliction of duty to secure 770….
1- the Marxist have successfully purged all the old time police guard who actually cared about our community and had enough integrity to side with doing what’s right when given illegal orders.
2- we have no current community leadership to rely on even for the common sense basics like securing 770 for the labor parade. How much more so when there’s a crisis.
Plan accordingly…
And time for some other men to step up for the tzorchei tzibur
BUSY TAKING PICTURES..BUT COULDN’T KEEP HOOLIGANS AWAY FROM 770..ON CHAI ELUL..
SHAME
Time is ripe for another instigated riot.
It’s election year.
This time around we will have no allies in leadership to turn to for help.
Last time the local police were at least reachable through the precinct phone line. But not anymore. And neither are any of the politicians.
Any of the solid old time police officers who could leave, have already left and been replaced with inexperienced uncaring newbees.
Doesn’t look good.
We’re in trouble.
When Rabbi Akiva saw the foxes among the ruins of the beis Hamikdosh, first he cried then he rejoiced when he realized how great will be the rebuilding if this is how bad it got.
May this be a lesson and wake up call for every able bodied men to make it his personal responsibility that our beis Hamikdosh shebebavel is never treated this badly again.
I think we collectively got too complacent by relying on others for that which each of us must do ourselves.
Really respectfully, I don’t understand why there were Yiddishe community leaders at the parade, meeting with people etc.. The African-Americans rightfully want to have a parade, commemorating their unique and distinct culture and community. Is it thus really necessary for our community leaders to get involved in their business? Can’t we just leave the African-American community alone to their event, without having to patronize them, for photo ops and political points?? Have we no pride and integrity?? I just don’t understand why there is such a knee-jerk reaction of our community’s leaders to always run to such and similar events,… Read more »
King achashveirosh had a mishteh too that the Yidden admired and attended. We know what followed next with gezeiras haman.
How relevant to what we’re currently witnessing.
But like Mordecai told Esther if you don’t go, Hashem will find another way through which to save the Yidden.
So dear ‘leaders’, now is your moment in time to stand up for your fellow Yidden but if you don’t it is you that will lose our and Hashem will save us in a different way.
Our leaders are so busy with the photo ops, that 770 was left unguarded, 10s of parking spaces have been removed from CH without our input for citi bikes, garbage bins etc.. The homeless and illegals are being bought into our neighborhood, but at least our “leaders” got a photo with the gov and mayor.
Bemokom she’ein ish hishtadel liheyos ish
We are still supporting the Democrats? Haven’t we seen enough? Are we that naive ?
All they know how to do is kiss up and hob knob not one could be bothered to say anything negative Aka the truth not one could be bothered to have anyone explain why no barricades set up why the wild indians were allowed to do what they wanted in front of 770. All the bs artists were out in force & nothing no gives a darn not one of them has done anything meaningful for the neighborhood in many yrs
Let’s talk true. The goyim, and other issues have an impact on the Jewish community in Crown Heights. Just look on the differences between CH and Boro Park or Williamsburg. We’re loosing our yiddishkeit, a true, heimish Chabad yiddishkeit… Why the Rabbonim just doing nothing and sitting silent?
Williamsburg has money that talks to politicians.
Maybe we can afford it too? Prove me wrong
I write this with the utmost respect and Hakoras Hatov to our Askonim. I and members of my family have benefited from their Askonus. It is unnecessary for me to acknowledge the importance of having good relations with our Elected Officials (as flawed as they are). Having good ties and relations with our NYPD is so necessary. They serve the community under the most difficult circumstances. HOWEVER, the coverage of the 770, was greatly neglected. I write this as Constructive Criticism, to have this rectified for the future. Again, I thank the Askonim for the selfless… Read more »
One incident by 770 would’ve CV”S triggered riots that make the August ’91 riots look like a walk in the park. “Coverage of 770 was greatly neglected” how, why? Unacceptable, failing grade to the NYPD, our elected officials and askonim, When will the community hear from our askonim (now that they’re finished with their parade phot ops) what went wrong and what will be done to prevent it from happening again in the future? Until then we will not “chill”, this is utterly shameful and disgraceful, it’s frustrating, disappointing and downright frightening considering the potential consequences. Do we need to… Read more »
It almost looks deliberate.
Like the lack of security on Jan 6
Communists create the crisis to implement the change and eliminate their opposition.
We are the target mainly because we called out their bs COVID lies and ‘education’ lies…
They want us gone so no control group to compare how bad their policies effect the people they claim to help
Why לעזאזל we need to see people that even don’t live here, let them go 5th av Manhattan and trash there, crime there. I’m one who working it’s My Labor Day!!! My Vacation Day!!! Why I need to have plans in advance to leave my house far away as possible. How this parade represents working people? Revenue to the city, ok I understand, you want revenues here pls close Atlantic, 3rd or 5th Ave in Brooklyn and do it there, much more space and big infrastructure and more money can be spend. We want Peaceful Streets on the Labor Day!… Read more »
That’s what is was called when I live there from1978-1993. Seeing these loathsome Leninists politicians and their evil union supporters couldn’t be more sickening.
The amount of photographs in this article is way overdone. What is the point of showing this many photographs of an event that “happened” in our community, but is not a program OF and BY our community.
It is lacking in Gaon Yaakov. Very not a kovod for ourselves. Zero slef-respect.
This is a question and a comment for the editors of this great website.
Comments for our “politicians” I leave for others.
Cannot believe so many condone this parade in our community!!!! And even participated in it!!! God save us! I had to personally stop two women dressed in bathing suits from going into the men’s section in 770, AND ask several men drinking and eating traife food to get off the steps at the entrance to the women’s section. By this time next year we should either: 1. Have giant Noahide Law Signs everywhere, all over Crown heights. or 2. Petition our elected officials to make it a crime to have drunken parties in the streets (especially the night before the… Read more »
