After the closure of 770 Eastern Parkway on Monday night, many congregants have expressed concern on retrieving their belongings such as Taleisim, Tefillin and Seforim from the building which serves as a Shul and Yeshiva.
Chanina Sperlin of the CHJCC has been working with the police to arrange for individuals to enter the Shul, 2 a time, to retrieve their belongings.
Anyone who has items they wish the retrieve should come this morning to the side door of 770.
2 people will be allowed in to get their items. The NYPD request that people wait without pushing, and as people come out of the Shul, more will be allowed in.
The entire building remains closed on Tuesday morning, with the offices above the Shul closed as well “until further notice.”

It’s painful we have come to this point.
So sad
I think from all the entries that 770 has the only doors that should allow entry is from EASTERN PARKway Only!! Take the nasty Bochrim and send them back to israel!!
Unfortunately, the lawless group who last used the shul felt that it was OK to throw around seforim, to stack them on the floor, and to allow them to become torn and dirty during the chaos. I hope that no one involved is permitted back in, and I feel sorry for everyone victimized by those criminals. That includes klal yisroel.
the top picture is very very sad
this chilul hashem is front page of the NY Post, fyi. total embarassment.
It is everywhere. On TikTok, thousands of people posting and accusing 770 as harboring criminals, tunnels built to abuse children, crazy things. Can’t imagine the damage this has caused to klal yisroel
They got what they wanted! A day off!
The claim: There wasn’t much we could do last night except stand by in horror. Really? If a thug is breaking into your house or car, wouldn’t you grab a baseball bat and start swinging?? Because it is YOUR house and you wouldn’t “stand by in horror” doing nothing. Why didn’t 100 yungerleit storm into 770 with baseball bats and start swinging??? Because…it wasn’t our house. We felt no achrayus. Shame on us! And guess what? If these hooligans knew that 100 yungerleit were coming with baseball bats – they wouldn’t attack 770. But sadly they know that the community… Read more »
Not true at all! Everyone was and is deeply pained but when there are 30 bochurim acting crazy and violent there’s no starting up.
You saw the videos of what they did to the policemen? These bochurim have no respect or boundaries.
We don’t need vigilante justice – the police had it handled. Adding to the violence would help nothing
TILL 2028
Let it air out.
Hope they get deported back to Israel maybe can build tunnels to Gaza kill Hamas instead of destroying 770
Destroying and having your own place closed. Shameful
We’ll will always remember January 8 💔 hope that it will never happen again!
I am devasted that our Shul was harmed in a violent manner, and is now closed indefinitely. It was a reminder of the COVID-19 outbreak sweeping the country in recent memory and worldwide and required masking and closure of 770 which up to that time (what time is it?) was unheard-of. B”HM it will not take that long to do repairs so that Torah Loving and learning can continue in Sanctity as before.
