With almost 20,000 downloads, Bodies & Souls, a platform and podcast for Frum women is garnering more and more attention.
Rivky Boyarsky, co-founder, says that “Women have been sharing fantastic feedback on how much they enjoy the varied episodes, I love getting feedback on social media, WhatsApp, and in the grocery store about how impactful the work we are doing is.” The weekly podcast episodes cover a range of topics from women’s spiritual development to their physical maintenance and emotional wellbeing.
As we transition from Summer to Fall, Bodies & Souls has started a book series for readers to “meet” authors of books that are new, impactful, and meaningful. The series opened with author Sara Blau as we explored her new book “Thoughtstreams”. Listeners of the podcast were treated to an exclusive coupon code so that they can buy the book or gift it to their family and friends. Check the episode’s show notes to access the code.

This week’s episode featured Chaya Rochel Zimmerman and her book “Lemons in the Fog”. Chaya Rochel explores mental health within the Frum community and shares what pushed her to discuss this important topic. Her book details the experiences of many young people struggling with mental health in the community and the stigmas associated with these struggles. As with the previous episode, listeners are encouraged to purchase the book and are provided an exclusive promo code.

In the next few weeks, we will discover books by authors that will change how we take care of ourselves, and our homes and explore grief within the Frum community.
