Each year, thousands of families travel to the Pocono Mountains for rest and rejuvenation. Serving this ever-growing population year-round is Mikvah Rochel Leah of the Poconos, a vital spiritual resource for both local residents and visiting families. Designed to be beautiful, convenient, and welcoming, the mikvah enables locals and tourists alike to fulfill the foundational mitzvah of mikvah, strengthening Jewish life in the region throughout every season.
In addition to serving those already familiar with the mitzvah, Mikvah Rochel Leah welcomes women of all backgrounds and levels of observance. Through community programs, gatherings, and one-on-one learning, the mikvah helps introduce and share the beauty and meaning of this special mitzvah in a comfortable and supportive environment. The Annual Poconos Midwinter Concert helps raise much-needed funds to support the mikvah’s ongoing operations.
This year’s concert will feature a special performance by Avraham Fried in memory of Rabbi Levi Wolosow a”h, a beloved Chabad shliach whose warmth, sincerity, and devotion left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
At last year’s Poconos concert, Rabbi Wolosow joined Avraham Fried in a spontaneous duet of “Tzama Nafshi Le’lokim,” filled with yearning and faith. Tragically, Rabbi Wolosow passed away shortly thereafter, transforming that moment into a cherished and unforgettable memory. (Watch the moment here:
Headlining the concert is Jewish music superstar Benny Friedman. The evening will also feature special guest Moshe Tischler, debuting new music from his upcoming third original album.
Spend your midwinter break in the Pocono Mountains, where families can enjoy a full vacation experience alongside this meaningful evening of music. The area offers Shabbos-friendly accommodations, a wide range of family activities, an indoor waterpark with separate men-only hours, and outdoor winter fun — making the Poconos an ideal destination for a wholesome and memorable midwinter getaway.
