FYI the restaraunt is falafel grill in Agoura. The cute girl in the end of the video is Mendy pelins daughter. I agree with #1 a stuffed Torah may have been the better route. Mendy – you’ll get it right soon! Keep up the great work.

GO RABBI!!!

I THINK THE MESSAGE IS LOUD AND CLEAR! IF WE LET GO OF THAT TORAH WE HAVE NOTHING! BY THE WAY THAT LITTLE DAUGHTER OF YOURS…

Rabbi Bryski is truly amazing. He is able to engage the old and young (as we see in the video). The simple and the smart. He is a real leader not afraid to break barriers. Kudos Rabbi!

How creative. Silver Gan Israel makes a raffle for a helicopter ride for kids who hear the 10 dibros. Check out http://www.HearThe10Commandments.com. I love it.

Get real
May 9, 2010 9:18 am

The message is a good one , just it just lacks a bit in its presentation.
there are more classy or respectful ways it could have been done. say a shul or house rather than a field etc

read what is under the video

seems so wrong

Are u even allowed to bring a Torah into a pizza shop to pass it around like this? There are halachos about how and when ur allowed to move a Torah from its honorary place in an aron. Did u use the Torah in the pizza shop three times? This is rather disturbing…

Otherwise, great video!

Cute Video
May 9, 2010 6:32 am

However, I do agree with #1, If indeed this Torah is an actual torah and not a ‘dummy’ it needs to be treated with more respect and probably shouldn’t be taken out of the Aron for this.
Once again giving the benefit of the doubt it was probably a ‘dummy’.

u right

gun
May 9, 2010 5:33 am

This is shluchim in a nut shell and spreading yidishkeit everywhere. I hope after 2days news that such a video would include the passing of a gun with the Torah. Every Shliach should be trained and armed! If Mumbai wasn’t a wake-up call, maybe this Ukraine horror should be.

I can’t sit through many videos.. but this one finished before I had a chance to dance to that interesting music.. Great job whoever did this!

What about Wed., 1st day of y.t.?
May 9, 2010 5:23 am

………………………………………………………………………………………………….. Brilliant and hilarious! But I’m confused. Isn’t Wed. the first day of y.t., the day we have the milchig meal?

wow!

its rly cute! luv it!

Disappointed

Is the holy Sefer Torah treated like a football that is passed amongst players on the team? I have never experienced a video that treats a Sefer Torah with such irreverance.

Of note, at the end of the video, the holy Sefer Torah morphs into an icecream cone which the rabbi passes to his child. Is the message to equate Torah with icecream – an unhealthy, non-essential junk food??
