For the first time, the Mesivta of Yeshiva Schools of Pittsburgh began the new school year in their new Greenfield campus location.
School started on Rosh Chodesh Elul, and parents and students got together for the annual Mesivta Orientation the evening before school started.
The program included welcoming the new students, teachers, Shluchim, and staff as well as touring the new building, classrooms, and dormitory.
Rabbi Yosef Rosenblum, Head of School at Yeshiva Schools of Pittsburgh and Rabbi Eliezer Shusterman, Menahel of Mesivta of Yeshiva welcomed all of the new students, Shluchim, teachers, and staff to the newly renovated campus. The 40 out-of-town students and shluchim are enjoying having their new dormitory in the same building as the school.
Messages of deep gratitude were expressed to Mr. Zev Rudolph, long time supporter of Yeshiva Schools for securing the Charles Morris Foundation funding to purchase and work on building renovations. Construction is currently ongoing, and the Charles Morris Campus naming will be formally celebrated once the renovations are complete. Mr. Izzy Rudolph, Vice President of Yeshiva Schools, was credited for his support and also for finding this well-suited nearby Greenfield location for the new Yeshiva Boys School. Dr. Chaim Oster, President of Yeshiva Schools placed a new mezuzah onto the Bais Medrash doorpost.
