Hundreds of Rabbonim, Mashpiim, Shluchim, Chassidim and bochurim and Jews from around the world are planning to make the trip to Rostov-on-Don in Russia to commemorate the yartzeit of the 5th Rebbe of Chabad-Lubavitch.
The 100th yartzeit is on 2 Nissan 5780 (March 26-29, 2020). It will be marked at the Ohel resting place of the Rebbe Rashab, Rabbi Sholom DovBer Schneersohn (1860-1920) who has devoted himself to the future of the Jewish nation by involving himself in education on all levels.
Events surrounding Beis Nisan are planned to begin on Thursday and include Shabbos (March 26-29, 2020).
The program will include visiting the Rebbe Rashab’s house, his Mikvah, the historic Cantonist Shul and Zmievskaya Balka Memorial Site known as Russia’s Babi Yar.
The main program will be attended by Russia’s Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar, Vice Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Bnei Brak’s Chief Rabbi Aizik Landa, Cholon’s Chief Rabbi Yochanan Gurary and Rabbi Yitzchak Kogan of Moscow.
