Gan Israel Ranch Camp, located on a western style ranch in Northern California, is for Campers entering 5th and 6th grade, as well as a Bar Mitzvah Camp for 7th and 8th graders.
Campers in both programs are treated to a special program designed by Rabbi Shlomo Menkes and the wranglers at L&L Ranch to give our Yeshiva and Cheder boys a real western experience in a chassideshe environment. Rabbi Menkes describes his camp as what “every a parent expects from Gan Yisroel but much, much more.”
Kids enjoy learning, davening, Mishnayos beal peh, and (need we mention?) lots of singing, as well as activities such as lots of horseback riding, raft building, farming and herding.
Fishing (or as Rabbi Menkes calls it “catching”) in local ponds and creeks. Trips include a visit to a live volcano, a museum where every camper gets to drive a real full sized locomotive down a track, floating down a tributary of the Feather River and learning to water sky on the camps speed boat.
