He is seen FINISHING his painting. He didn’t necessarily start it an hour before shabbos. And anyway, if this IS an hour before shabbos, he already started the painting beforehand. He won’t necessarily finish it in an hour’s time..

It seems that its going to be a mural as evident in the bottom left corner of the pic you see it continuing to 784 or the tzach buildig what ever works for you 🙂

Rembrandt painted many Jewish scenes. These is also a non-Jewish Russian artist, Yelena Fleurova, who has painted many beautiful Chasidic scenes. There is a gallery of her works in the Marina Roscha shul. Hashem gives talent to a person and they use it to create beautiful things, how is that sad? We should rejoice that these artists have chosen to portray holy scenes when they could just as easily paint immodest subjects.

Hes doing an series of works of famous places in crown heights lubavitch i.e weddings outside 770, the Rebbes house etc. Im pretty sure he is being commissioned by the art gallery on kingston avenue. Sadly he is not jewish.
