They were introduced by Los Angeles philanthropist Yaakov Ozer Rosenblatt whose grandfather was a Lubavitcher Rov in Washington, DC.

As I posted I jogged my memory it was a beautiful sight. Rabbi Greenberg zl rosh yeshiva in Morristown was t the other rosh yeshiva Who spoke . Those who were there saw a milchamtah of Torah as Rav Berenbaum engaged Rabbi Greenberg in a passionate discussion of his chidushim. Which is classic Rav Berembaum zl who know his derech. I spoke to one of the esteemed yungeleit that visit with the Rosh Yesiva. They were touched by “yedidus and friendship” he showed towards the guest.
Mir has always been a center of Ahavas Yisroel, Ahvas eretz Yisroel, And Ahavas Htorah.

Rav Berennbaum zl came to Chicago during the nine days to speak for a kinus Torah for Lubavitch this when the Rebbe ztl was encouraging kinusei Torah Ben hamezorim.His chidushim were published in a kovetz given out by chabad and we’re review ed by the. Rosh yeshiva before they were published
The Mirer Roshei yeshiva both in America and Israel were and are very welcome to all chasidum.They are only interested in that the Talmid be serious .I know as when I lived in Chicago Rav Shmuell Berenbaum zl mir Tosh yeshiva in America was my guest chol haloed succos as he would raise funds for the kollel.During the zman he would never leave yeshiva. I happened to hear Reb Yeekov Rosenblatt speak at a Sheva Brochos.
And as they say in the Yeshivashe World “MOYRENDIK”. The chosheve asken is full of toychen, (and a proud chosid of the Rebbe.
