Chaim Liberow is the son of Melbourne Shluchim Rabbi Motti and Dina Liberow and namesake of Rabbi Chaim Gutnick OBM.
Chaim, who has Down Syndrome, put on Tefillin yesterday for the first time in preparation for his Bar Mitzvah.
On the same day, as he was leaving an Uber, he asked the driver if he was Jewish and the answer was yes. Chaim immediately asked the man if he wants to put on Tefillin and enthusiastically helped the man to do so and say the Shema.

Chaim is a great kid product of proud parents who see no limitations to what their son can accomplish. A couple of months ago at the annual “B’al Peh” evening, Chaim surprised his parents when he got up on stage and fluently recited lines of Tanya by heart. May he continue to grow as a Chossid lamdan and yorei shomayim.
