At almost all hours of the day, people of all ages are seen flocking to the. Rubashkin house to drink a warm cup of coffee, grab a snack, eat a hearty meal meet up with friends and family, or to find a spot to daven and recite Tehillim.
Moshe Rubashkin, a charitable figure in Crown Heights is known to open his home for community events and simches. He is especially known for his huge temporary structure – and huge Sukkah – which is open to all.
Rubashkin has been addressing an urgent need to feed the many guests that come for Tishrei, many of whom do not have local families to host them or are left without a place for meals. He serves meals to bochurim, girls and families, and provides sleeping accommodations for hundreds.
