A Jewish man had his cell phone snatched from him while walking in the street in Crown Heights on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The incident occurred at the corner of Montgomery Street and Nostrand Avenue at 4:45 pm, when a mugger snatched a cellphone from the hands of the 23-year-old man.
The mugger then fled the scene.
The NYPD 71 Precinct detective unit is investigating the incident.
If he had a updated phone, you can track down your phone, via android/find my device..or apple find mind device..and then get this crook into jail..
Why would muggers steal ‘dumb phones’??? Please Explain yourself!!
Don’t know what you use your smartphone for, but many good Jews – myself included – use them to learn Torah.
if it was a smartphone (again chas vshalom) he should thank the snatcher.
Maybe we will stop using a car, electricity…
But put your phone down when you’re walking in the street and be aware of your surroundings.

Many of these crooks use the phone they steal. This could lead cops to catch him. But police are very busy and can’t even catch up with murderers so this is nonsense in their eyes.

Let’s see what happens, let’s see the outreach of our leaders, let’s see how the cops are going to catch the delinquent. Sometimes I forget that this is crown heights and we don’t have any decent leadership
But since that’s not legal, how about security cameras everywhere.
