Netanel Crispe, a student in Yale University, has created a petition asking for the immediate removal of Professor Zareena Grewal from the Yale Faculty. The petition already has over 1240 signatures.
On October 7, 2023, as the news reports started pouring in of the brutal rapes, violent kidnappings and murders, and the incomprehensible beheadings of men, women, children, and babies in Israel, Yale Associate Professor of American Studies, Ethnicity, Race, & Migration, and Religious Studies, Zareena Grewal, posted the following on Twitter:
“My heart is in my throat. Prayers for Palestinians. Israeli [sic] is a murderous, genocidal settler state and Palestinians have every right to resist through armed struggle, solidarity. #FreePalestine”
And later on October 10th, 2023:
“No government on earth is as genocidal as this settler colonial state” (In response to a tweet from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu)
She has also retweeted posts that claim that Israel has “a mad bloodlust” (retweeted 10/8), and other tweets implying that those who support Israel “woulda been posting ‘I stand with slave owners’ during rebellions”(retweeted 10/9). Perhaps her most egregious retweet contained a news video detailing the Hamas attack, with the caption “It’s been such an extraordinary day!” (retweeted 10/8).
“Freedom of Speech cannot be abused. And when one is in a position of authority and power, they must be held responsible for that speech. Speech that promotes, advocates, or supports violence, murder, or terrorism cannot and should never be tolerated,” Crispe wrote.
“Condoning violence, advocating for a terrorist organization, and historical revisionism and inaccuracies are all ideas that run contrary to the values of Yale University.
“We, the undersigned, demand that Yale University immediately terminate the employment of Zareena Grewal. She has unequivocally proven that she has no right being in her current role or in the field of education if she considers war crimes against civilians to be acts of resistance. Please share this message that anyone with any moral compass will not stand for such blatant hatred and promotion of violence from a professor at one of the world’s top academic institutions.”

I think Israel is going to continue doing what they’re doing regardless of the predilections of this nobody.
At least she is honest enough to admit that her heart is in the wrong place. If her heart was in her chest like a normal human being, she might have had some moral clarity.

Anti-Semitism has become a fashion trend
when will this end?
The student who wrote this, Netanel Crispe, is a Chabad chossid. Kol Hakavod to him for speaking up and doing this. He is the son of Rabbi Asher and Sara Esther Crispe.
Something to be addressed: People have been claiming, that Israel is killing innocent people in Gaza. What’s the equation? The people that are being killed are not armed militants. They are simple people living in Gaza. So because they aren’t armed shooters, they are Innocent. I just wanna respond to that for one second. If you fed your son lunch today so he can have strength to shoot up a music festival, you are not innocent. If you donated your back yard to be a Hamas training ground for terrorists to sprout, you are not innocent. Just because you’re holding… Read more »
Just because you are *not* holding a gun
People who encourage terrorism or make Terrorism possible are just as guilty as the terrorists themselves.
