Pesach Enjoyed at Lake George

Imagine healthy, delicious, wholesome food. Sedorim, Divrei Torah and lectures that stimulate your mind and inspire your soul. Exercise classes that rejuvenate and strengthen your body. All while your children are being engaged and entertained in a professionally run day camp…Can you picture it? This is just some of what the three hundred participants are experiencing in Lake George, NY at the Pesach program run by Rabbi Avraham and Nechama Laber.

The theme of the program is Finding Your Flavor and the program was created to offer a range of options to meet the wide range of interests and needs. The women’s programming is based on the Mind, Body and Soul concept so women begin their day with stretching and Zumba classes led by professional instructor Nesha Antelis and in the evening are participating in interactive discussions and classes with world renowned speaker, Sara Esther Crispe. In addition Nesha offered a workshop on healthy living and eating providing practical tips and suggestions for women to incorporate back home.

Additionally there are ongoing classes ranging from Talmud and Tanya with a few different instructors to Music Appreciation with the talented musician Moshe Antelis and Graphology with Yakov Rosenthal. In addition, there are daily lectures with Mrs. Chana Sharfstien about her books, “Beyond the Dollar Line” and “It was Evening, It was Morning.” Scholar in residence, Rabbi Asher Crispe is giving lectures on the mystical dimensions of Passover and the future of technology and medicine. Not only are the adults privy to such top notch learning but there are specialized classes for the teens as well.

As much as everyone loves to eat, learn and relax in their beautiful hotel with views of Lake George, no program would be complete without entertainment, so entertained they are. Already the participants have enjoyed a mentalist, hypnotist and magician, Ronnie Baras. And last night the crowd didn’t stop laughing for two non stop hours with The Shalom Bayis tour with well-known comedian, Mendy Pellin. Everyone is looking forward to Mendy Pellin’s act two with karaoke, comedy and a concert by Jewish Star Finalist Mendy Antelis on Wednesday night.

Passover is only half way through but those who were fortunate enough to join the Labers this Passover have already received weeks worth of relaxation and pampering. We are all looking forward to experience all the other wonderful activities in store for us during the rest of the holiday!
