If, according to all these “mekoros” etc. ; the Rabbeiyim – IMMEDIATELY upon making havdala – would run and grab a piece of chometz and start chomping down…..WHY???? would the rebbe give out bottles of wine-DAVKA, and NOT mashka – since it was already AFTER pesach, and after yom tov – and chometz was already mutor l’chol hadayos?! If eating chometz IMMEDIATELY after pesach is such an inyan, why couldn’t mashke be bought BEFORE yom tov – sold to a goy and put away with all the other chometz, and then taken out and given out after pesach? forget all the sources and examples and stories, it just doesnt feel aidel or even healthy for such indulgence. it doesnt make a difference that the masses does this, it is still very “gross” – physical.

Learn what the rebbe says about people runing back into mundane matters straight after yom tov, in tof shin mem daled, acharon shel pesach, then make up your cholent, untill then go do something productive with your life!!!

you are very correct, the Tzemach Tzedek had a minhag, to make motzie tom tov pesach, havdalah on chometz,
however chometz is one this, this is pure taivos

there is actually an inyan brought down in sefarim to eat chametz as soon as pesach is over to show that the reason we weren’t eating it the whole time was because of pesach.
