Pesach Cleaning a Year-Round Job

* Hi Shmuel Spielman, what is the name of your business and when did you open?

It is called “Heights cleaning” and we are a quality commercial and residential carpet and upholstery cleaning. This Pesach season will be our 23rd year in business.

* What services do you provide?

All styles of carpet and upholstery cleaning (chairs, couches etc) flood draining, water damage, carpet restoration, sewer backup, fire damage, smell deodorizing, deep cleaning, (for those stains that “won’t come out” and obviously regular maintenance.

* Anything new in your business, such as an expansion in services or personnel?

Baruch Hashem, due to our growth, we added new machines and hired additional staff who can deal with any need, no matter how large. We always maintain state of the art equipment and methods to make sure we provide only top of line services.

* What makes your business stand out from others?

Our number one priority is customer satisfaction. We won’t be satisfied unless the client is. I have personally earned the trust and confidence of all our clients. They know that when we do a job (either big or small) we will constantly work hard to maintain our client’s trust.

We are a Crown Heights-based business and, unlike our competitors, we know that emergencies happen. We don’t take advantage and charge crazy prices for last-minute calls or midnight flood damage etc. We always keep our prices well within reason, understanding that maintaining clean and fresh (yes, and healthy) carpets and upholstery shouldn’t have to be a crazy expense.

* Any tips for homeowners on how to extend the life of their carpeting?

Scotch guards or other similar protective measures won’t usually help, and can be costly just to maintain. Having a regularly 3-4 times a year for basic maintenance and cleaning will leave your home cleaner and fresher and often times cheaper than the other “guard” measures.

For any major stain or water damage etc, taking care of it promptly by calling a professional company is vital to maintaining it and not being left with those stains that will need more attention later

* Any interesting or funny stories or anecdotes to share from your experience?

We often have to move furniture to get to those unreachable corners. Over the years, we helped homeowners finds valuable rings and jewelry that they have thought to have gone missing.

* Anything else you would like to add that people should know about your business?

Our biggest pride is our returning clients. The trust of our clients in knowing we do the job right, state of the art methods and equipment and being cost-efficient. We obviously have Shluchim and mosdos discounts.

Ask around in Crown Heights – either schools, building management companies – who they use for their carpet cleaning needs and we will be mentioned. Ultimately, the satisfied, returning client is our biggest satisfaction.
