A perpetrator was apprehended early Friday morning after attempting to flee from a stolen vehicle in Crown Heights.
The incident began at approximately 1:30 AM near East New York Ave and Kingston Ave when Crown Heights Shmira responded to reports of a possible car break-in. Upon investigation, members discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen.
NYPD officers arrived on scene, but as they began their investigation, the suspect attempted to flee on foot. Following a brief pursuit, the perpetrator was successfully arrested.
