Hi Boys and Girls! Welcome back to the Parsha Studio!
In this week’s Parsha, something unique happens. The earth started shaking and then swallowed Korach, his family, and all his possessions. Wait, why did this happen to Korach? Korach was a man from Shevet Levi, who didn’t think it was fair that Moshe Rabbeinu was the leader of the Yidden. He wanted everyone to be equal, so he gave Moshe a hard time by asking him complicated questions in Torah. As a punishment, he got swallowed up by the earth.
Today is going to be so much fun because we’re going to work with polymers and make slime. Did you know that glue is made up of polymers, which are long chains of molecules? When we add the contact solution, which is a form of ions, they bring the chains of polymers together, creating SLIME! To make it even more exciting, we’ll use sand from the earth to make the slime resemble the earth which reminds of the earth in the story of Korach. You’ll also get to play and have fun with it! Get your hand muscles ready for some fun!
