Students of the Mesivta of Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch in Brunoy, France, traveled to Paris to participate in an annual 15th of Shvat Farbrengen at the Sinai educational institutions.
Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Pewsner, head of the school, invites the students each year, but organized a larger event this year to mark Hakhel and in honor of his son, Zalmy Pewsner OBM, who was a Shliach in the Yeshiva.
A festive meal was spread out for the bochurim, with music being played by Zalmy’s younger brother, Arye Pewsner and Uziel Friedland, both bochurim.
Remarks at the farbrengen recalled Zalmy’s refined character and his strong emunah.
The speakers were Rabbi Yoel Edelman, Rabbi Shmuel Bradovitch, Rabbi Dovid Furst and Rabbi Menachem Mendel Abrahams, all of the staff of the Yeshiva.
A special thank you was given to Rebbetzin Eshka Pewsner, widow of the Lubavitch rov, Rabbi Hillel Pewsner OBM, who tended to the details of the farbrengen.
