I am deeply touched when parents take the time to share their experiences with Your Torah Tutors. I recently received a heartfelt letter from a parent and Mechanech who wanted to express how our program has impacted their family. I’d like to share it with you, as I believe it highlights the core of what Your Torah Tutors is all about:

Dear Rabbi Laibel Shemtov of “Your Torah Tutors,”
As an educator myself, I know how important positive feedback is. While many times we tend to run on the notion that “no news is good news”, it is so validating and energizing to receive the recognition and appreciation for the work that one puts in every day. With this in mind, I want to thank you for the special Mossad that you established and your sincere care about the personal success of each student in the program.
I would like to share my perspective as a parent and as someone who has been involved for two decades with Mesivta age Talmidim. I will start with the “parent perspective”: When we moved to Cincinnati, to establish the Yeshiva, as parents we knew that one of the challenges we would be facing is the lack of Chabad Chinuch for our children. While the city has a fantastic and accommodating day school, it is not a Cheder. In addition: As my sons were growing older, I knew that there would need some additional supplement to help them go from a regular day-school (where they do not learn Limudei Kodesh the entire day) to an intense full day of learning in Mesivta.
As an Mechanech: One of the hardest things to see in Yeshiva is a very Chassidishe Bochur that is lacking the skills to really participate and grow in his learning. They have all the right intentions and motivation but without the necessary skills, it simply is an uphill battle. I have seen too many boys give up on their learning and then depression and/or other issues can result from that. I would always wonder if there was some professional program that a parent can sign up their 7th or 8th grader, so that the boy has what he needs to be successful and flourish in Yeshiva.
By being introduced by a family member to “Your Torah Tutors”, I have found an answer to my above-mentioned challenges. The program is extremely professional (with trained Yungeleit that are really passionate about what they do) and they have the ability to really ingrain in the students the foundations to learn Chumash, Gemara and the Yiddish language. My children, and talmidim, have benefited and I am sure that others would as well.
I would like to add (although it is not the main point): I really feel that the cost of the program (in comparison to the end-product) is very efficient and I was so impressed by the flexibility shown when it came to payment. It is truly a professional institution that is being run with a shlichus mindset.
May we all give the Rebbe nachas IYh we will be able to proudly say “ראו גידולים שגידלנו” – with the hisgalus now!
Thank you again!
