Parade Marks Postville Raid

Jewish residents in Postville, Iowa, marched the streets Tuesday. Most of the decorations focused on celebrating Lag B'Omer, but several made reference to the anniversary of the immigration raid 12 months ago. "We made Postville a piece of heaven!!! I was zoche to see first hand how wonderful, truly wonderful the community of Postville are. My wonderful sister and brother-in-law, Penina and Mati Brandwein, had a beautiful bar mitzva there. Each person pitched in to create the most beautiful, tasty and professional delicacies for the sweet table. That time was quite trying for everyone, but no matter their personal struggles and difficulties regarding their parnassa and future, they put them aside to make it a communal simcha.
