Israel, France and the United States have sharply criticized Pakistan’s surprise release of the alleged mastermind terrorist allegedly behind the 2008 attacks on a Mumbai hotel and Chabad Center, where Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and his wife Rivky were among 6 Americans and 160 others killed.
Israel’s ambassador to India Daniel Carmon said Israel is surprised and disappointed by the release of Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, the mastermind of the Mumbai attack in which, as part of the horrific attack, also Israeli nationals and a Jewish centre – the Nariman [Chabad] House – were targeted.
“This release is a setback for the international efforts in the war against terror in which India and Israel are close partners,” he said
The United States said it was “gravely concerned” after Lakhvi walked out of jail on Friday. French President Francois Hollande, was hosting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said the release was “deeply shocking.”
Modi said: “There is a need for global action to deal with terrorism. All nations should commit that they will not provide shelter to terrorists but punish them.”
State Department spokesman Jeff Rathke said at the daily news briefing Friday, “Pakistan has pledged its cooperation in bringing the perpetrators, financiers, and sponsors of the Mumbai terrorist attacks to justice, and we urge Pakistan to follow through on that commitment to ensure justice for the 166 innocent people, including six Americans, who lost their lives.”
Lakhvi was released after a Pakistani court suspended his detention. He had been arrested one week after the attacks.
HOW COULD THEY DO THIS TERRIBLE THING!!! HE SHOULD BE SITTING IN JAIL FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE!! THAT RASHA!!!
there is a young orphan right in isreal who is growing up w/o parents by the name
MOISHE HOLTZBERG
moshiach now
After murdering people he should walk free?
Exactly what he caused in Mumbai!!!!!
All you people baying for his blood, how do you know he’s done anything wrong at all? The only basis for suspecting him is the Pakistani government’s allegation, and a court which has examined the evidence behind that allegation found it insufficient to deny him bail. The government didn’t decide to let him go, they kept him for as long as they could, but eventually had no choice but to obey the court. So how do you know the government is right and the court is wrong? Especially since at the same time you’re condemning that same government? If it’s… Read more »
the mosad is probably gonna take care of him
I look forward to seeing his rotting body, scattered and disassembled throughout the streets, with shame and humiliation to his friends and family.
Mashiach now!
all I could say is we need moshiach!
His days are numbered. Trust Mossad.
THE US STATE DEPARTMENT DOES NOT CONSIDER PAKISTAN IS A STATE SPONSOR OF TERRORISM, THIS IS WHEN PAKISTAN GAVE A SAFE HAVEN TO OSAMA BEN LADEN, THE ISI (PAKISTANI FBI) SUPPLIED INTEL AND SUPPLY TO THE TERRORISTS. THE FAMILIES OF THE KEDOSHIM DESERVE JUSTICE. THE STATE DEPARTMENT SHOULD LIST PAKISTAN AS TERROR STATE! DID YOU KNOW THAT THE US SEND 100’S OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS PER YEAR TO PAKISTAN AS HUMNETRIASN AID?! HOWE HUMAN ARE THEY!
they are COWARDS.
guess who pressured them

*Alleged* mastermind. The court said there was not enough evidence to justify denying him bail, so what choice did the government have? Both the USA and India would have been in the very same position; they can’t ignore a writ of habeas corpus. And really, how do any of us know whether the court was right or wrong about the strength of the evidence?
We NEED TO BE UNITED MORE THAN EVER!
