For the first time in France, a Chabad overnight camp was opened especially for kids from various Cheders and schools.
The long-awaited Summer Camp “Panasaim” – The Lamplighters camp, for talmidim of Chadarim Lubavitch from 3rd to 6th grade, launched on July 6.
75 children headed out to be a part of the 2-week camp directed by Rabbi Levi Mimoun.
An ideal location was chosen for the occasion, a large country estate which provided them with comfortable accommodations and multiple activities to delight children of this age: football, badminton, basketball, table tennis, swimming pool, and more.
The children were under the care of a team of dedicated bochurim who served as madrichim. The morning is devoted to Tefila, a rich breakfast and study. The atmosphere is warm and Chassidish. Special events and activities take place in the evenings to the delight of the campers.
All health and safety regulations are observed.
This new experience was greeted with encouragement and enthusiasm by the local community leaders and especially by the parents, because after all the recent difficult months due to the coronavirus pandemic, the camp is dedicated to bringing joy and respite to the children who have been dealing with lockdowns and quarantine.
