Just imagine it happened in your backyard.
The terrifying reality for the innocent civilians in Sderot and many other cities in Israel is harrowing to think about.
The constant barrage of rockets, friends, family and neighbors attacked and murdered in the streets, houses robbed and burned, and the absolute unknown as to what tomorrow might bring.
The dedicated Chabad personalities stationed in Sderot dropped everything in an instant, and sprung into action.
Indeed, a global humanitarian effort is underway on the streets of Sderot and other cities, as tens of thousands are left homeless, injured, frightened and scarred, in desperate need of the very basic of necessities.
It’s time to be perfectly clear and honest. They were not attacked.
WE were attacked!
OUR homeland was attacked!
This happened in OUR backyard!
When the nation of Israel is hurting, each and everyone of us are hurting.
The coming weeks and months are sure to be difficult, and the unknown will haunt us. But one thing is for certain, and that is this:
Kol Yisroel Areivim Zeh L’zeh.
The Jewish community across the entire world is united, and now is the time to come together in support of our brothers and sisters in their time of need.
The images coming forth from the front lines are difficult to look at, but they show the true gravity of the situation, and that the need for funding is great.
We know that the guardian of Israel neither sleeps nor slumbers, and it is not for us to reconcile the occurrences of the last few days. What we can and must do is come together in support of our brothers and sisters in the holy land.
Support the humanitarian effort on the ground in Sderot, and help the thousands of hungry, injured, displaced and homeless believe in a better tomorrow.
Remember to increase in acts of goodness and kindness, and may we merit to hear good news very soon!
