Hosted by Chabad NSW under the auspices of Rabbi Pinchus Feldman OAM, the grand Yud Tes (19) Kislev Farbrengen of Sydney, Australia was held at Chabad Double Bay.
Rabbi Yanky Berger of Chabad Double Bay welcomed all and spoke of the importance of 19 Kislev and the community coming together for significant times.
Rabbi Pinchus Feldman OAM, Head Shliach of New South Wales since 1968, spoke of the great importance of Yud Tes Kislev and why it is considered the Rosh Hashona of Chassidus and how the Alter Rebbe’s approach following Yud Kislev was to increase in the teaching of Chassidus.
The new video produced by JEMedia: The Extraordinary Resolve: Being Present for Every Jew, Everywhere. was shown before the international guest speaker, Rabbi Lazer Gurkow of London, Ontario spoke about finding strength in the darkness. so many of us face ongoing challenges, how do we cope, what should we do. what are the lessons from The Alter Rebbe and Yud Tes Kislev that can help us manage in our day to day lives as well as to help us each achieve higher purpose and fulfillment.
After the formal talks at the Farbrengen, many people stayed to hear Rabbi Gurkow Farbreng until the early hours of the morning.
The Farbrengen was coordinated by Rabbi Elimelech Levy of Chabad Youth NSW as well as Rabbi Mendy Berger.
