When third-grader Natan and his family drove from Chicago, Illinois, out to Bettendorf, Iowa, to visit his classmate Moshe, both families knew it would be a day to remember.
You see, Natan and Moshe had become fast friends even though all the time they spent together was through a computer screen. Natan saw Moshe’s huge personality, and Moshe saw the same in Natan, all of it shining through even via webcam.
Natan and Moshe are part of some of the many classes offered at the Jewish Online School.
The school, which started out only as a small Hebrew school, has grown into four separate schools in order to accommodate the needs of every single Jewish child from around the globe. Children hail from as close as the New York Tri State area to as far out as Singapore, Nigeria, and Tasmania. The school has classes running on all different time zones to make it work for all.
Most recently, the Online Cheder has rolled out and served a tremendous need amongst Lubavitcher families that although they may have a Day School near them, do not get to enjoy chassidisher topics and chassidus in their school curriculum. Children in the Online Cheder focus on Chassidishe yomim tovim, chassidus, and on growing their chassidishe pride.
The early bird for the Online Cheder ends in one week!
