amazing!such a miracle!
I’m on number 24’s side
crossing children must learn to look our for turning cars however turning CARS MUST look out for crossing pedestrians I don’t own a car my children and I walk everywhere together all the time and we are constantly dodging cars that turn literally right on top of us
What a miracle!!
what was his name?
A miracle of Biblical proportions!!
your an idiot ” captain grumpy” really?
I have to agree with # 22 an 8 year old boy is much to young to be doing errands on a scooter. Anyway BH he is fine.
8 year old little boys should NOT be doing errands on their scooters. Way too dangerous.
please say tehilim for orly bas ester – in a car crash on yom kippur lost her mother.
That boy and his family are extremely fortunate.
Nothing short of a miracle….. Hashem is watching over us 🙂
Well put “number 2 message”- perhaps schools schools could get involved and teach their students how to be extra careful while crossing . For the younger students it could be useful to literally walk the kids through an exercise of “rules of the road”…practical tips to keep safe. One wants to give children their independence but at the same time keep them safe .
the driver didn’t run off.
Captain obvious is the best expression ever!
This is amazing, but the article going alone with the video states “speeding van” the van seemed to have started going when the light turned green.
Even if the van has great pickup I dont think that the van could have gone faster then 30 MPH, and hence not speeding. The van also stopped instead of driving off. This is not to say that he should not have been more alert when turning.
May all accidents have a happy ending.
Cynicism is a tool of the atheist!
His father should make a seudas hoda’h

Boruch Hashem a miracle, but also a message to parents: teach your children that even when the light is walk they should look to see if a car is turning. And they should always stop and look at the corner, especially if they are on a bike or skates. I tell my seven and eight year olds to take a route that does not have “turning streets” when they first cross on their own. Better cross in the direction where the traffic is held by the light. Even still you need to watch for cyclists and moped deliveries going the… Read more »
