On Sunday, the 7th of Adar 2, the young talmidim of classes of Rabbis Yossi Goldstein and Mendy Barnett received their very own Siddur, and celebrated it with a grand Siddur Party.
Unqiue to this year’s event was a presentation of each father of the siddur to his son, with a personalized inscription. The classes sang songs, Chazzered Tanya Ba’al Peh and gave the parents and grandparents who attended much yiddishe Nachas.
Rabbi Meir Shimshoni, Principal, thanked the devoted rebbeim of the class, and wished the talmidim hatzlocha in their reading and davening. Rabbi Hershel Lustig spoke of the importance of davening and the direct line it gives each child to Hashem.
Rabbi Joseph Rosenfeld, Executive Director of Oholei Torah, spoke of the beauty of the excitement the talmidim have for chassidishkeit, and Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Jacobson encouraged the talmidim to daven, learn and grow to be true Chassidim.
Rabbis Sholom Rosenzweig and Rabbi Shmuel Benjiman‘s classes will be having their siddur parties after Purim.
