The Kempinski Resort Hotel in the Spanish beach-front city of Marbella, an exclusive destination for wealthy tourists, played host to this year’s European Jewish Retreat.
Men and women from all over Europe spent the May 28-31 weekend enjoying lectures, superb kosher cuisine and entertainment in the opulent surroundings.
Among the inspiring speakers were Israel’s Chief Rabbi Yona Metzger, Russia’s Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar and Rabbi Simon Jacobson, an author and publisher from New York.
It was organized by the Brussels-based European Jewish Study Network, headed by Rabbi Sholom Liberow, and coordinated by Fleishman Productions.
Chabad Lubavitch of Costa Del Sol, directed by Rabbi Cheski Goldstein, was involved in the planning and hosting.
Other speakers were Rabbi Shalom Ber Lipskar and his wife Chani, who lead The Shul of Bal Harbour, Florida. Milan Shlucha and educator Rivka Hazan spoke as well.
No event is complete without a good dose of Jewish entertainment. Ohad Moskowitz, popular Jewish singer from Israel, led a sing-a-long concert on Motzoei Shabbos.

This event was a major kiddush-hashem and reached many people who may otherwise not have attended a Jewish event. Moshe Garelik has built an incredible organization and is a huge credit to the Rebbe’s vision.
