Withholding wages already earned is, under state and federal laws, a form of abuse and/or neglect. A Torah-fearing Yid should be extra-conscientious about his/her duties and responsibilities, as an employer and as precaution against hurting another’s interests. No need for incompetence to lead to a Demand Letter from an anonymous employee’s attorney, seeking payment records on behalf of a class/collective action.
