The 19-year-old missing autistic teenager from Williamsburg has thankfully been found. Sources confirm to YWN that he was located in Jamaica Hospital. He is in good condition, and has been rejoined with his family.
The NYPD along with hundreds of volunteers from Williamsburg Shomrim (WSPU) and concerned neighbors spent the entire night searching for a missing autistic teenager who was last seen leaving his Shul on Monday morning.
Reported missing is 19-year-old Aron Volf Gelb, who was last spotted at Lee Avenue and Flushing Avenue in the heart of Williamsburg’s Chasidic community at about 10:30AM, Monday morning.
A WSPU spokesperson told YWN that the missing is 5 feet 6 inches tall, has a slim build, weighs around 130 pounds, brown eyes, wearing glasses and black hair.
He was last seen wearing a black hat, a black overcoat black pants and shoes.
He answers to the name “Volvie”.
The NYPD and Williamsburg Shomrim were being assisted by Shomrim divisions from many other neighborhoods, as well as Hatzolah and Chaveirim. The NYPD Aviation Unit was assisting overhead as well.
