A police officer responding to a call on 13th Avenue on Motzei Shabbos lost control of his cruiser and crashed into a building, injuring at least 5 people.
The officer, who was injured in the incident, was driving to a call when he swiped a vehicle waiting at the intersection on 52nd Street and veered onto the sidewalk.
The officer’s cruiser then crashed into Landau’s health store on 13th Avenue.
Emergency responders, Hatzolah, EMS and the NYPD emergency services unit treated the injured.
Hatzolah transported four patients to Maimonides Medical Center.
