Senior NYPD officials joined a Purim celebration in Crown Heights at the home of community activist Rabbi Chanina Sperlin.
Among those visiting were NYPD Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, Chief of Staff Ryan Merola, Deputy Commissioner Alden Foster, Assistant Commissioner Fred Kreizman, Chief Richie Taylor, Inspector Igor Pinkhasov, and PO Green.
Rabbi Sperlin, who was recently appointed chaplain for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department (PAPD), thanked the officers for their partnership with the community and their efforts to ensure a safe Purim in Crown Heights.
“The Jewish community deeply appreciates the brave men and women of the NYPD for going above and beyond to ensure our communities can celebrate a joyful and safe Purim,” Sperlin said. “Thank you for your dedication and partnership.”
