Architectural Digest
Michael Wyetzner of Michielli + Wyetzner Architects joins Architectural Digest in New York for an in-depth walking tour of Central Park.
Everything in Central Park got there by considered choice, not by nature, and the park as we know it today is the result of a design competition held in the 1850s.
From hidden through-roads to its calming bodies of water, join Michael as he walks you through why Central Park is the best-designed city park in the world.

Would love a 2nd installment. I grew up in nyc and never knew any of this. Only saw the park when i went to the museum. This is fascinating. Never knew i could find woods in nyc or that the park is so beautiful or any of the history. Thank you
I was wondering for many years now about the archtectual background of central park which we all know and love. This video really brought my motzei tisha bav to a new level. Thank you for this headline and keep up the good work! May we all be zoche to the coming of moshiach right now!
This s a lovely documentary. Thank you COLLive.com. I’ve lived in Crown Heights for more than 40 years and never knew this fascinating history. I’ve only visited the park two or three times in all those years, and only at the edges. Now I’d be afraid to go there.
The fact that many are unaware of this city’s history is very troubling
