Would you please let us know where we can look up that the Rebbe said that? Virtually anything can be prefaced with the words, “the Rebbe said…” Where did he say?

The Rebbe said the doctors exaggerate the harm caused by obesity.

I agree with #1 and #2. Other important factors are portion sizes and the number of times you go back for ‘just a little more’. Also don’t worry about finishing the food off because of bal tashchis. The gemara says (Shabbos 129) bal tashchis of the body takes precedence.

the issue is more the quality of the food and the chemicals. how can you absorb something that is soo processed? and it isn’t the fat content that is soo important. we need fat actually, it depends on the quality of the fat. poor quality fat is horrendous for one’s health. this is all upside down. your shopping cart should be full of food not packaged this and that. try going for: fruit, vegetables, whole grains, real whole grain bread without garbage in it – check the ingredients. frish, lean meats. did you know that we dont really need that… Read more »

the problem is more with fast food and restaurants, packaged food always shows nutrition facts, but when you order a slice of pizza or a steak, you have no clue what its nutritional value is.
