On Lag Baomer, Nosson’s Shul celebrated its 11th anniversary, marking the 11th yartzeit of its namesake Nosson Deitsch obm.
What started out as a group of single friends who decided to create a shul in Nosson’s memory, has flourished into a thriving community that strives to live by the values that Nosson exemplified – genuine love for a fellow Jew and infectious enthusiasm for Torah.
The shul grew in leaps and bounds over the past decade, as its membership increased rapidly. The community celebrated two hachnasos Sifrei Torah, expanded programs for women and children, and racked up an impressive list of ongoing classes and events.
As they do every year, the shul has celebrated their anniversary and Nosson’s Yartzeit together with their Lag BaOmer celebration, hosted by a member of the shul.
During the event, an exciting announcement was made about the future of the Shul, and the kickoff of an upcoming Charidy campaign.
The Shul will be launching a campaign to fund its future growth as a mainstay of the community. Click here to donate now.
To mark 11 years, the Shul is launching a campaign to anchor down with a new building which will host a beautiful Shul, Mikva and community center. Every dollar will be matched during the campaign beginning on Rosh Chodesh Sivan, and lasting 48 hours. Your donation is doubled!!! This Shul will serve the spiritual needs of the south Crown Heights community with daily minyanim, classes, farbrengens and more.
