North Caulfield Chabad Celebrates Tanya Completion

Shnei Ohr Chabad of North Caulfield was very proud to celebrate the completion of the entire book of Tanya at their Chabad House last month.

Shnei Ohr Chabad is a small, intimate Chabad house servicing the local community, and it has seen a lot of growth since its founding by Rabbi Menachem and Esther Stern 15 years ago.

The completion of the entire Tanya during their weekly shiur was an achievement of many years of work, and it was celebrated in style at the Chabad house with decorations, delicious food, inspirational speeches, and live musical entertainment. The atmosphere was joyous and festive, and it was extra special to be able to celebrate together with the broader community in the last few days of the year of Hakhel (‘Gathering’).

The keynote speaker, Mr Josh Goldhirsch, addressed the attendees about his personal experience learning Chassidus, and the powerful impact it had on his life.

Certificates were awarded to all those who had completed the studying, with one person completing Kuntress Acharon and another starting the Tanya from the beginning.

The evening was rounded off with a fahrbrengen, which was enjoyed by all.
