Last Monday, April 29th, Beth Menachem Chabad of Newton, MA, held a gathering of prayer, unity, and solidarity with the community of Poway, CA in the aftermath of the tragic shooting that took place at the Chabad of Poway.
The large crowd that gathered were addressed by the Rabbis of Beth Menachem Chabad, Rabbi Chaim Prus and Rabbi Shalom Ber Prus, Mr. Fred Chanowski, President of Beth Menachem Chabad, Mayor Ruthanne Fuller, Newton Police Lieutenant, Bruce Apotheker, Deputy Consul General of Israel to Boston, Daniel Agranov and Middlesex County District Attorney General, Marian Ryan.
The message stressed was about overcoming hate with more kindness, light, and good.
A special video was played with words from Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein, the Rabbi injured in the attack in California. The evening concluding with the crowd breaking out in song about the endurance of our people.
