Rabbi Shalom and Chani Zajac (nee Traxler) were recently married and are starting off their life together in service of the Jewish people, inspired by the Rebbe.
The young couple has been appointed Program Directors of Chabad of the Central Cascades in Issaquah, a fast growing suburb that is surrounded by Lake Sammamish and the Issaquah Alps on three sides.
They were appointed by and will be working with Rabbi Berry and Nechama Farkash who founded the Chabad center on the Sammamish Plateau over 10 years ago.
“Thanks to Rabbi Shalom and Chani’s natural talent and extensive professional experience in serving the young segments of today’s Jews, we will be rapidly expanding our programming,” Rabbi Farkash said.
As the new Program Directors, the Zajacs will be expanding and developing year-round programs, holiday events as well as the Gan Izzy summer day camp. This will be in addition to assisting with the community synagogue, Preschool and Hebrew School
“These new programs spearheaded by our new directors will ensure that we continue reaching out to every Jew in the area,” Rabbi Farkash added.
