Jewish music superstar Avraham Fried released a new uplifting single based on the tune of a timeless Lubavitcher niggun.
This lively melody known as the “Hakofa niggun” is sung with immense vigor and enthusiasm during hakafos on Simchas Torah at 770 Eastern Parkway with the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
The lyrics, written in Yiddish by Mrs. Shternie Ginsberg, Shlucha in Boro Park, convey the timely message of the imminence of the redemption, perfectly blend with the upbeat gusto in the melody.
It was produced by Chabad of Boro Park with vocals recorded by Yossi Tyberg and mixing by Chaim Gotesman. The song was arranged and mastered by Avrumi Berko, accompanied by an adult and children’s choir.
People involved in the project say this song triggers the innermost quest of each and every Jew, young and old to greet Moshiach.
“The song inspires us to live with a conscious awareness that we are about to greet Moshiach and motivates our every thought, word and action to be filled with meaning and purpose,” they said.
“As we stand at the threshold of the Geula the age old ‘Ani Ma’amin’ takes on a new dimension, it is transformed from a message of yearning to a call for action: Stand ready to greet Moshiach here and now.”
