Rabbi Mendy and Chaya Hecht and their daughter Haddassah have recently been appointed as the Chabad Shluchim to North Forest Hills in Queens, NY.
They will be opening and directing a new Chabad Home in the area to serve the north side of Forest Hills.
The new Shluchim were appointed by Rabbi Mordechai Z. Hecht of Chabad of the Gardens – Forest Hills and will be joining the team of shluchim in this region, including the Senior Shliach Rabbi Sholem Ber and Rebbetzin Channah Hecht.
In their new position, Mendy and Chaya will focus on the whole gamut of Chabad programming, primarily Shabbos dinners, holiday programs and adult education.
Furthermore, they will also cater to the youth of Forest Hills by way of the nationally acclaimed C-Teens program, Chabad Hebrew School and Summer and Winter Camp programs.
