New Shluchim to Los Feliz, California

Rabbi Levik and Rochel Korf (nee Sasonkin) are moving on Shlichus to Los Feliz, a well-established neighborhood in Los Angeles, California, with a strong sense of community and many young families.

Located near Griffith Park, known for its walkable streets and family-friendly feel, makes it a natural place to build an open, welcoming Jewish presence.

Rabbi Levik and Rochel are excited to begin this new chapter by establishing The Jewish Youth Center, under the direction of Chabad of Los Feliz, led by his parents, Rabbi Leibel and Dvonye Korf. Their mission is to engage and support young Jewish families through meaningful, family-centered programs.

Many families in the area are eager for authentic Jewish experiences that are warm, accessible, and inclusive. Through Shabbos gatherings, holiday celebrations, educational programs for parents and children, and a welcoming home environment, The Jewish Youth Center aims to create a strong sense of belonging for families at every stage.

Additionally, Levik and Rochel plan to offer Torah classes for adults, increasing the level and providing more opportunities for thoughtful learning, discussion, and spiritual growth in a comfortable and approachable setting.

Guided by the Rebbe’s vision, Levik and Rochel look forward to undertaking this shlichus by building relationships, nurturing the community, and helping cultivate a vibrant, thriving Jewish presence in Los Feliz.
