Rabbi Shneur and Sheina Matusof have been appointed as new Chabad Shluchim to join the team of Shluchim in Issaquah, Washington.
The couple will be moving out this summer to serve the Jewish community in Issaquah.
The Matusofs will serve as new Program Directors for Chabad of Issaquah, working to expand the Smile on Seniors Programs, opportunities for Teen engagement, Holiday Events as well as the Gan Izzy summer day camp.
The couple has extensive experience in serving the younger segments of today’s Jews, so they will be joining Chabad in the area to support and invigorate the existing community infrastructure.
Sheina spent three years as a mother figure in a Ukraine orphanage working with at-risk children and Shneur has worked with youth in various capacities. Both grew up as Chabad shluchim – Shneur at Chabad in Madison, Wisconsin and Sheina in Sheffield, England.
The Matusofs have been appointed as Shluchim by Rabbi Berry and Nechama Farkash, Directors of Chabad of the Central Cascades.
“The Matusofs join the community with the skills to connect with all ages, and utilize their creativity, knowledge, warmth and many talents,” Rabbi Berry Farkash said.
Best couple ever. Hatzlacha rabba!
Good luck!
Hatzlocha to you both – they are very lucky to have you.
Wishin’ yall the best out there!
