Rabbi Mendel and Gitty Fayershteyn (nee Lipszyc) have been appointed to join the team at Chabad Lubavitch of Fort Lauderdale as youth directors.
The couple will be part of the team working at Chabad of Fort Lauderdale, under the Leadership of Rabbi Moishe Meir Lipszyc, Head Shliach of East Fort Lauderdale for the last 31 years.
Since 1986, when over $40 million was invested in the renovation of East Fort Lauderdale, the city has been redefined as an international center for recreation and leisure, as well as for business and culture.
Fort Lauderdale’s younger population is rapidly growing, with over 7 high schools filled with Jewish teens, and with many young Jewish professionals growing their businesses in the area and seeking out networking opportunities. The area is also a world-renowned tourist attraction, with over 16 million tourists visiting East Fort Lauderdale every year, and nicknamed the “Venice of America.”
The Fayershteyns will focus primarily on working with teens and young professionals and will start a CTeen and Chabad Young Jewish Professionals division for the Fort Lauderdale area.
They will also hold seasonal Shabbos Minyanim near the Beach in Fort Fort Lauderdale.
You can support their Shlichus either with a monthly donation or a one-time donation.
