Rabbi Duni and Chaya Blotner (nee Gorman), along with their three children ka”h are moving out this week to establish Chabad of Etobicoke, ON.
Etobicoke is a transforming city, part of the greater Toronto municipality, with a Jewish population in the thousands.
Despite Toronto being a pinnacle of Jewish life for the last century, Etobicoke has not yet had own Synagogue or any Jewish Establishment until now…. A very necessary and long awaited VERY FIRST Jewish establishment in Etobicoke, serving the thousands of Jewish families, businesspeople and students in the area.
Etobicoke is a vibrant area, boasting a broad spectrum of demographics. Its charm and unbeatable location has made it one of the most sought-after areas in the GTA. Home to thousands of Jewish souls waiting to be kindled, we plan to build a vibrant Jewish community serving the Etobicoke area.
The Blotners were appointed by Rabbi and Mrs. Zalmen Aharon Grossbaum, Head Shluchim of Chabad Lubavitch of Southern Ontario.
Be it High Holiday services, Hebrew School, Adult classes, home, office and Hospital visitations, Kosher food services and much more, can happen only with your kind partnership.
With the High Holidays/Tishrei around the corner and a calendar packed with events for the year, Chabad of Etobicoke is turning to you for help.
$100,000 is being raised to start off a year of programs, classes and services.
Can the Jews in Etobicoke count on you?
